What inspectors found, February 2019

Rated Good; inspectors found safe, kind and personalised care, with all five areas rated Good.

This was a planned inspection. One inspector visited on 21 January 2019 and carried out telephone interviews on 22 January 2019. The inspector spoke with people living at the home, staff and the registered manager. They also checked care records, medicines, staff files, training and the home's management records.

The inspectors found that people were protected from abuse and avoidable harm. Risks were assessed, medicines were given safely, staffing levels were sufficient and staff had suitable recruitment checks and training.

People were treated with kindness, dignity and respect. Staff knew people well, supported their choices and independence, and involved them in decisions about their care. The home also had systems to handle complaints, gather feedback and monitor quality.

The home was rated Good overall and Good in Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. This was unchanged from the previous inspection in December 2015.
