Questions managers ask
Is the listing free?
Yes. Every CQC-registered care home in England has a page on The Care Home Directory and claiming it costs nothing. Photos, your description, fees and enquiry details are all included.
How do you check that I run the home?
If your email address is the one your home publishes, or is on the same domain as your website, the listing is yours straight away. Otherwise we ring the home on its CQC-registered number and ask for you.
Can a group claim all its homes?
Yes. Anyone with an email address on the group’s website domain can claim every home under that brand in one go.
What does a featured listing cost?
Fifty pounds a month plus VAT, paid by card, with no minimum term. Cancel any time from your account and the listing stays featured until the end of the month you have paid for.
Where does a featured home appear?
At the top of its town page, its council area page, its provider page and postcode searches within 15 km, with a Featured badge on the card and the page.
Why should I publish my fees?
Families searching for a care home ask about price first. Homes with a published fee get more enquiries, and better ones: people who already know the fee is within reach. We show a "from" price with the date you gave it.
Prefer email? Send your fees or photos to fees@thecarehomedirectory.co.uk and we will add them. If a review of your home is untrue or breaks our rules, reply to the same address with the link and we will look into it within two working days.
