Rated Good; inspectors found safe, kind and highly personalised care, with all five areas rated Good.
This was a planned comprehensive inspection on 22 January 2019. One inspector and an Expert by Experience reviewed records, medicines, staff files, audits and information from other agencies. They spoke with people and staff and observed care.
The home supported up to seven adults with learning disabilities, autism and other complex needs. Inspectors found people were safe, treated with dignity and kindness, and supported to make choices and live independently. Care plans were detailed and personalised.
All five areas were rated Good: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. This means inspectors found the service met the expected standards at the time of this inspection. The previous inspection, published in July 2016, also rated the home Good.
Kind and respectful care
Inspectors saw positive relationships between people and staff. People were treated with dignity, patience and kindness.

Personalised support
Care plans described people's routines, preferences, communication and support needs. People were involved in deciding who supported them and what they did.

Safe medicines support
Medicines were ordered, stored, given and disposed of properly. Staff also supported people to take more responsibility for their medicines where possible.

Staff had relevant training and experience, with regular supervision and annual appraisals. They were supported to gain further qualifications.

The home used internal and external audits to monitor quality. Inspectors found these checks helped identify issues and track improvements.
