What inspectors found, November 2018
Rated Good overall, with Outstanding caring; inspectors found safe, effective and responsive care in a well-led home.
This was an unannounced comprehensive inspection on 10 August 2018. One inspector reviewed care plans, risk records, medicines and staff recruitment records, and spoke with people living in the home, care staff and the deputy manager.
The home was judged safe, effective, responsive and well-led, all rated Good. Inspectors found enough staff, safe medicines systems, suitable training, support with food and healthcare, and systems for managing risks and complaints.
Caring was rated Outstanding. People were involved in how the home was run, supported to be independent, treated with dignity and included in a family-like atmosphere. The overall rating remained Good, as it was at the previous inspection in February 2016.

Inspectors raised no specific concerns in this report.
- 01The report says the home does not offer a service to people with high needs. What types of needs can you support now, and what would happen if my relative's needs increased?
- 02How would you support my relative to remain independent and manage their own medicines, if this was safe and suitable?
- 03How are residents involved in decisions about menus, activities, refurbishment and the running of the home?
- 04What activities and community opportunities would be available for my relative, based on their interests?
- 05How would you involve our family in care planning and respond if we raised a concern?
This was an unannounced comprehensive inspection covering all five CQC questions and the overall quality of the home; the previous inspection in February 2016 was also rated Good overall, with Outstanding caring.
