What inspectors found, April 2018
Westbury Drive - Macclesfield was rated Good; inspectors found safe, respectful and personalised care across all five areas.
Inspectors made an unannounced visit on 13 March 2018. They spoke with two of the three people living in the home, two relatives and staff. They observed care and checked care records, staff rotas, training, medicines, health and safety and building maintenance records.
The home was clean and well maintained. Medicines, risks and staffing were managed well. Staff knew people well, understood their communication needs and supported them to make choices and live active, independent lives. Care plans were personal and regularly updated.
The home remained Good, the same rating as at the previous inspection. All five areas were rated Good: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. The report did not identify any breaches of regulations or enforcement action.
Independent lives
People were supported to take part in work, college and activities of their choice. The home followed values focused on choice, independence and inclusion.

Care plans described people's needs, wishes and routines. They were regularly reviewed and updated.
