What inspectors found, February 2023
The Regard Partnership Limited - Kneller Road was rated Good; inspectors found people were safe and the home was well-led.
This was an unannounced inspection visit on 16 December 2022. One inspector reviewed records, staffing, training, medicines, risk assessments, audits and infection control. They also spoke with relatives or advocates, staff and healthcare professionals, and observed people who could not communicate using words.
The home supported six people with learning disabilities. Inspectors found enough suitably recruited and trained staff. Risks were reviewed, medicines records were complete, safeguarding concerns and incidents were investigated, and infection control arrangements were in place.
Inspectors found a positive, open and person-centred culture. People were supported to take part in activities such as swimming, shopping, eating out and visits to local parks. The home had clear leadership and regular quality checks.
The overall rating remained Good. Safe and Well-led were rated Good at this inspection. Effective, Caring and Responsive were not inspected during this visit, so their previous ratings were used when calculating the overall rating.
Safe staffing and recruitment
There were enough staff to meet people's needs safely. Recruitment records showed checks, references and interviews were completed before new staff started.

Staff understood people's routines and risks. Risk assessments covered health, daily living and social activities and were updated when people's needs changed.

What inspectors found, April 2019
The Regard Partnership Limited - Kneller Road is rated Good; inspectors found safe, kind and personalised care with strong support for choice and independence.
This was a planned inspection visit on 4 March 2019. One inspector spent time with five people, observed how staff supported them, and spoke with managers, four staff members and three relatives. The inspector also checked care records, staff files and other management records.
The home provides accommodation and personal care for up to six adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. People could not give detailed verbal feedback, so the inspector also observed their behaviour and interactions. People appeared comfortable and at ease, and could show their needs using different forms of communication.
Inspectors found the home safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. People had individual support plans, activities, healthcare support and opportunities for choice, independence and contact with relatives. The overall rating was Good, as it was at the previous inspection published on 8 September 2016.
Personalised support
Staff knew people well and adapted support to their individual needs, communication styles and preferences.
