What inspectors found, January 2022
The Georgians (Boston) Limited - 50 Wide Bargate Boston was inspected but not rated; inspectors found good infection control during a COVID-19 outbreak.
This was a targeted, announced inspection on 10 January 2022. Inspectors looked mainly at infection prevention and control, visiting arrangements and whether COVID-19 staffing pressures affected care.
There was a COVID-19 outbreak during the visit, but inspectors found it was being managed well. They found clear guidance, visitor screening, suitable protective equipment, regular testing and systems for shielding and isolation.
The home was visibly clean and well maintained. Staff had up-to-date infection control training, and the home was supporting visits in line with current guidance.

What inspectors found, December 2020
The Georgians (Boston) Limited - 50 Wide Bargate Boston was rated Good; inspectors found safe care and good management, with the manager's registration still in progress.
This was a focused inspection following concerns received by CQC. Inspectors visited on 27 October and 1 December 2020. They reviewed care and medicines records, spoke with six relatives and 11 staff, and checked the home's management systems.
The home was rated Good for Safe and Well-led. Inspectors found enough staff, safe medicines management, suitable risk assessments and good infection control. They also found that a water leak and building work had been managed safely.
The manager and staff involved people and relatives in care decisions. The home used audits, meetings and feedback to improve care. There was not yet a registered manager, but the current manager had applied to register.
The overall rating was Good. The ratings for the other three areas were not examined during this focused inspection and were carried forward from the previous comprehensive inspection.
Safe handling of medicines
Medicines were reviewed, given as prescribed and monitored through audits. Staff had training for safe medicines handling.
