What inspectors found, April 2018
Rated Good; inspectors found safe, kind and personalised care, with all five areas rated Good.
Inspectors made an unannounced, comprehensive visit on 7 March 2018. They observed care, looked around the home, checked records and staff recruitment files, and spoke with people, relatives, staff and health professionals.
The home supported up to four people with learning disabilities. Three people were living there at the time, and the fourth bedroom was being used by night staff. Inspectors found enough staff, safe medicines practice, suitable risk assessments and a clean, well-maintained environment.
People were supported by staff who knew their needs, preferences and communication methods. Inspectors found kind care, personalised support, help with healthcare and activities, and effective checks on quality and safety.
The home was rated Good overall and Good in Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. It was also rated Good at the previous inspection, so the overall rating had not changed.
Safe staffing and risk support
Inspectors found enough staff and systems to manage risks while supporting people's independence.

People had positive relationships with regular staff. Staff respected privacy, dignity, preferences and different ways of communicating.
