This was an unannounced, focused inspection on 11 October 2023. Inspectors spoke with people, relatives, staff and health and social care professionals. They reviewed care records, medicines records, staff recruitment files, audits and policies. They also looked around the home and observed care and infection control.

The home was rated Good for Safe and Well-led. Inspectors found that people felt safe and well cared for. Staff were safely recruited, trained to protect people from abuse, and there were enough staff. Medicines, risks, care plans and emergency plans were managed safely.

Management systems were working well. People, relatives and staff said managers were approachable and listened to concerns. The home worked with health and social care professionals and acted on feedback. Inspectors noted that some areas needed refurbishment to support more effective cleaning.
