What inspectors found, April 2019

Rated Good; inspectors found safe, kind and personalised care, with all five areas rated Good.

This was an unannounced, planned inspection. One inspector spoke with six people, four staff members and the registered manager. They reviewed three care plans, medicine records, accident records, meeting minutes and quality checks.

The inspectors found that people were safe, received their medicines on time and had enough suitably recruited staff. People were supported to make choices, eat well, access healthcare and take part in activities they enjoyed.

People described kind and caring relationships with staff. Their privacy, dignity, independence and friendships were respected. Care plans were detailed and reviewed with people, and people knew how to raise concerns.

The home was rated Good in Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. This was the same overall rating as the previous inspection, published in February 2016.
