What inspectors found, August 2023

Rawcliffe Manor rated Good in all five areas; inspectors found safe, kind and person-centred care.

This was the first inspection since the home was registered. It was unannounced, with visits on 13 and 17 July 2023. Inspectors spoke with people, relatives and staff, and checked care, medicines, recruitment and management records.

Inspectors found people were safe, treated with kindness and supported by staff who understood their needs. Care plans were kept up to date. People had enough staff, received medicines safely, and were supported with food, healthcare, communication and activities.

The home was rated Good for Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. This means inspectors found consistently good care and management at the time of the inspection. As this was the first inspection, there is no previous rating to compare.

    Risks were reviewed and managed, medicines were given safely, and inspectors found enough staff to support people safely.
