R M P Care - 20 Oulton Road was inspected but not rated; inspectors found good infection prevention arrangements during the pandemic.
Inspectors visited the home on 22 April 2021. This was an announced, targeted inspection focused on infection prevention and control during the COVID-19 pandemic.
They were assured that the home used personal protective equipment safely, followed shielding and social distancing rules, arranged testing, maintained hygiene and had an up-to-date infection control policy.

What inspectors found, December 2018
R M P Care - 20 Oulton Road was rated Outstanding overall, with safe, kind and highly person-centred care.
Inspectors made an unannounced visit on 22 November 2018. They spoke with people living at the home, relatives, staff, managers and a visiting professional. They observed care, checked two care records, medicines and management documents.
The home was rated Good for Safe, Effective and Caring. Inspectors found enough suitable staff, safe medicines practices, managed risks, trained staff, support with health needs, and care that respected people's dignity, privacy, choices and communication needs.
The home was rated Outstanding for Responsive and Well-led. Inspectors found exceptional support for independence, friendships, community involvement and personal goals. They also found strong leadership, staff involvement and systems that used feedback and lessons from the previous inspection.
At the previous inspection in December 2016, the home was rated Requires Improvement overall because safeguarding systems needed improvement. Inspectors said the required improvements had been made by this inspection.
Community involvement
People were supported to take an active role in their local community. This included helping with a park project and taking part in local consultations.
