What inspectors found, January 2018
Primrose Avenue - Crewe was rated Good; inspectors found safe, kind and person-centred care, with the home remaining Good since the last inspection.
Inspectors visited on 4 December 2017. The visit was announced. They spoke with people living in the home, staff and relatives, observed care, and checked medicines, staffing, training, maintenance and care records.
They found four people being supported to live busy and independent lives. Staff knew people well, respected their choices and provided warm, individual support. Medicines, risk assessments, staffing and safeguarding arrangements were found to be safe.
Care plans were person-centred and regularly updated. People were supported with health needs, food, activities, communication and future plans. The home also had regular audits, meetings and checks to monitor its quality.
All five areas were rated Good: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. This means the service met the CQC's standards at the time of this inspection, but a Good rating is not a guarantee that every aspect will always be perfect.
Support for independence
People were supported to make choices, take part in daily tasks and develop skills for more independent living.

Inspectors found medicines procedures were safe, staff had the required training and staffing levels were maintained.
