What inspectors found, September 2022

Rated Good overall, with Outstanding care; inspectors found safe, personalised support and strong leadership.

This was the home’s first inspection. Inspectors visited unannounced on 17 and 19 May 2022. They observed care, spoke with people, relatives and staff, and checked care, medicine, recruitment and management records.

The home was rated Good for Safe, Effective, Responsive and Well-led. It was rated Outstanding for Caring. Inspectors found enough staff, safe medicines, clean premises, detailed care plans, good activities and effective links with health services.

The report describes care that was exceptionally kind and personal. Staff knew people well and supported their choices, dignity, relationships and interests. The home was still opening in phases, with the top floor closed and 22 people living there at the time.
