What inspectors found, April 2022
Rated Good; inspectors found safe, kind and person-centred care across all five areas.
This was the home’s first inspection since it registered. It was unannounced and took place on 22 March 2022. One inspector spoke with two people and a senior care staff member, observed care, and checked care plans, medicines records, staff files and quality records.
The home supports up to five people with mental health needs. Four people were living there at the time. Inspectors found suitable risk assessments, safe medicines management, enough staff and appropriate recruitment checks.
Staff had completed essential training and supported people to make choices, stay independent and access health services. People described staff as caring, and inspectors found that privacy, dignity and personal preferences were respected.
Care plans were reviewed regularly and included people's needs, communication and activity preferences. The home had quality checks, meetings and feedback systems. All five areas were rated Good, meaning inspectors found consistently good care at this inspection.
Risk management
Care plans included risk assessments covering areas such as mental health, self-neglect, finances and substance misuse. Fire safety checks and emergency evacuation plans were also in place.

Safe medicines
Medicines records showed that medicines were given as prescribed. Staff had medicines training and records of remaining medicines were accurate.

People described staff as caring. Inspectors observed positive relationships and found that staff respected privacy, dignity and independence.

Personalised support
Care plans described people’s needs, preferences and communication. They were reviewed regularly to keep them accurate.
