What inspectors found, January 2022

Jubilee Villa is rated Good overall, with Outstanding caring; inspectors found safe, personalised support but noted radiator and damp issues.

One inspector visited on 1 December 2021. They spoke with providers, staff, relatives and professionals, observed care, and checked care plans, medicines, recruitment files and management records. They also checked infection prevention measures.

The home supported five people with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder. Inspectors found people were safe, received effective support and had their needs met. Staff understood people's communication, supported their choices and helped them take part in activities, maintain relationships and become more independent.

The strongest area was caring, which improved from Good to Outstanding since the previous inspection. The other four areas remained Good. Inspectors found a positive and well-managed service, but noted that some radiators were not protected from possible burns and one person's room had damp that needed repair.
