CQC report explained · a residential care home
What the CQC found at Green Acres
Rated Good: inspectors found the home performing well and meeting their expectations.
What inspectors found, March 2018
Green Acres was rated Good; inspectors found safe, caring, personalised support and effective management.
This was an unannounced inspection on 12 January 2018. It was the first inspection since the home was registered in October 2016. The inspector spoke with staff and relatives, observed care, and checked care plans, medicines records, incident records, recruitment files, training records and quality checks.
The home supported six people with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities and mental health conditions. Inspectors found that risks were assessed, medicines were managed safely, staffing levels met people's needs and staff had suitable checks and training.
Care was personalised and people were supported to make choices, build skills and take part in activities. Staff were kind and respected privacy and dignity. The home involved people and relatives in decisions, reviewed care regularly and used audits to check quality.
The home was rated Good in all five areas: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. The report does not identify any breaches of regulations or enforcement action.
