What inspectors found, December 2022

Rated Good; inspectors found safe, kind and well-organised care across all five areas.

This was an unannounced inspection on 30 November 2022. One inspector spoke with 10 people, two family members and staff. They reviewed care records, medicine records, recruitment files and checks on how the home was managed.

Inspectors found that people were safe and received the right support. Risks were assessed, medicines were managed safely, infection control was effective, and staffing and recruitment were suitable. People received support with food, drink, health care and daily choices.

People were treated with kindness and respect. Their care was personalised, families were involved, activities were provided, and there was a clear complaints process. The home had a positive culture and effective systems for checking and improving care.

The overall rating was Good, with Good ratings for Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. This was the first inspection under the provider's new registration. The previous rating, published on 27 September 2019, was also Good.

    The home followed infection prevention procedures, kept the premises clean and had enough protective equipment. A recent NHS audit gave the home a 98% score.
