What inspectors found, June 2018
Dimensions Somerset Jasmine was rated Good; inspectors found safe, kind and personalised care, with uncertainty about possible staff and management changes.
This was the first inspection since the home was registered. It was a comprehensive, unannounced inspection on 5 and 8 June 2018. One inspector spoke with residents, relatives, staff and managers, and checked care records, medicines, staff files, training, rotas and quality checks.
The home supported six people, with capacity for seven, who had learning disabilities and complex health needs. Inspectors found people were safe, happy and relaxed. Staff knew residents well, treated them with dignity, supported their health and helped them make choices, stay independent and take part in community life.
All five areas were rated Good: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. The report also records worries from relatives and staff about proposed changes to employment terms, which might lead to changes in the staff or management teams. These changes were still being discussed when inspectors visited.
