What inspectors found, April 2019

Creynolds Lane is rated Good in every area; inspectors found safe, kind and person-centred care.

This was an unannounced planned inspection on 31 January 2019. One inspector spoke with one person, the manager and three staff. They also observed care and checked care plans, medicines, incidents, staff meetings and quality records.

The inspectors found that people felt safe and at ease. Staff understood people's needs, risks and communication methods. Medicines were checked, staffing was sufficient, the home was clean, and people were supported to access healthcare and make choices.

People were treated with dignity and respect. Staff supported independence, activities, friendships and access to the community. Families and people using the home were involved in care planning, and there was a complaints process.

The home was rated Good for Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. This means the inspectors found good outcomes and that legal requirements were met. The previous inspection in April 2016 also rated the home Good.
