What inspectors found, March 2023

Rated Good; inspectors found safe, kind and personalised care, with people involved in the life of the home.

This was the first inspection of the home. It was unannounced and took place on 13 February 2023. Inspectors spoke with people, relatives, staff and a visiting professional. They also reviewed care plans, medicines records, recruitment files and management records.

Inspectors rated the home Good in all five areas. They found enough staff, safe medicines practice, suitable training and timely healthcare support. Risks were assessed and monitored, and infection prevention arrangements were in place.

People and relatives said staff were kind, respectful and caring. Care plans included people's histories, choices and preferences. People were involved through regular meetings, activities and decisions about the home.

The management team had regular audits and used feedback, incidents and complaints to make improvements. As this was the first inspection, there was no earlier rating to compare with.
