What inspectors found, January 2019
Cabrini House 3 is rated Good; inspectors found safe, kind and personalised care, with some staff changes unsettling people.
This was an unannounced inspection on 7 December 2018. The inspector spoke with all eight people living at the home, staff, the registered manager and six relatives. They also observed care and staff handovers and checked care plans, safety checks, meetings and audits.
The home was rated Good in all five areas: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. Inspectors found enough staff, safe recruitment, suitable training, safe medicines management and clean premises. People’s risks, health needs, dietary needs and rights were supported.
People and relatives described staff as kind and respectful. Inspectors found that care was personalised and people were supported with independence, activities, work, education, community life and relationships. The report says the overall Good rating was unchanged from the previous inspection in June 2016.

This was an unannounced inspection covering all five areas, and the report used a shorter format because the overall Good rating had not changed since June 2016. This explanation was written from the published report of 4 January 2019 by an AI system and checked against the report text: every quoted line appears in the report.
