What inspectors found, July 2018

Rated Good; inspectors found safe, kind and personalised care, with all five areas remaining Good.

This was an unannounced inspection on 31 May 2018. Two inspectors spoke with seven people, a relative, staff and the registered manager. They also reviewed care plans, medicines records, staff records, complaints, audits and other documents.

The home supported eight people living there and two people living in their own flats who received personal care. Inspectors found that people felt safe, staff knew them well and there were enough staff. Medicines, finances, recruitment and the building were managed safely.

People were involved in decisions about their care and were supported to be independent. Inspectors found kind relationships, personalised support, regular activities and good links with health professionals. The home was clean, homely and well managed.

The overall rating was Good, and each of the five areas was also rated Good. The previous inspection had also rated the service Good, so the rating remained unchanged.
