What inspectors found, August 2022
Rated Good after improving from Requires Improvement; inspectors found safe care, better staff training and stronger management checks, with a medicines storage concern.
This was an unannounced focused inspection on 20 July 2022. One inspector spoke with people, relatives and staff, observed care, and checked care, medicines, recruitment, training and management records.
The home was rated Good for Safe, Effective and Well-led. Inspectors found enough staff, safer risk management, appropriate recruitment, improved training and better checks on the quality of care. People received their medicines as prescribed and had access to healthcare and suitable food and drink.
There were some issues to address. The medicines room was above the recommended storage temperature, and two storerooms needed sorting and cleaning. The manager had identified these issues and said action was being taken.
